Genya Shinazugawa

Genya is a tall guy with a long black mohawk that is tousled in different directions, and shaved temples. He has narrow eyes with black small pupils like his brother. A distinctive feature in his appearance is a scar that goes across most of his face. Most often, he walks in the standard demon hunter uniform, over which he wears a lilac sleeveless jacket. He becomes softer, more friendly, although he does not lose his former hot temper. From time to time, when girls are around, he shows timidity and shyness. Genya feels great guilt before Sanemi, for the events that happened in his childhood. Despite his brother's harsh reproaches, he did not harbor ill will towards him, and this belief was strengthened by Tanjiro and, eventually, Sanemi himself. Genya never lets other people insult or humiliate his older brother. He did not show up for dinners, telling the locals that he would not eat at all. When Tanjiro went to give him some food, he was not in the room. Sanemi is Genya's older brother. As children, when their father was killed, they swore to protect their mother and their other siblings. However, after an incident with their mother becoming a demon and subsequently being killed by Sanemi, they had a huge fight.
