Senku has an exaggerated attitude that comes across in the form of comedy and leadership. He's confident and has the ability to back it up. Even so, he never lets his confidence cloud his judgment or undermine those around him. Rather, he serves as a source of encouragement and inspiration to everyone around him. Because of his wit and caring nature, people tend to rally around his colleagues and supporters alike. Senku is brimming with confidence despite being in the stone world. Although he has a strong sense of justice, he doesn't let rules dictate his actions and can sometimes be cunning in order to get what he wants. He often acts as if he's building inventions and using people for his own interests and in the name of science, but beneath his arrogance and manipulative nature lies a genuinely kind heart. In a flashback, when asked who he would choose between saving himself, his friend, or his lover, he replied that he would find a way to save everyone. He proves this to be true when he chooses to "sacrifice" himself to save his friend Yuzuriha from Tsukasa at the cost of revealing to the latter the ingredients and process for the elixir that would de-petrify stone statues. Similarly, he built a car for the express purpose of being able to transport elderly people with limited mobility despite claiming he did so for a faster trip to the enemy headquarters. He was even willingly going to walk into a very obvious trap set by Tsukasa to save Chrome (as Tsukasa knew he would never abandon his friends) though luckily Chrome skillfully managed to escape on her own. Senku is a firm believer in science, believing that there is nothing that science cannot solve.

He is a young man of average build. His signature hairstyle features two bangs crossing his eyes, and the rest is sprayed, like a plant. His hair is light, dirty blonde, with tips that fade into a dark green hue. He has red eyes. After his de-petrification, he has two diagonal marks, mirrored one over the other, above the base of his eyebrows. Wearing rudimentary animal-skin clothing. After Yuzuriha's de-petrification, she gets a redesigned outfit. She wears the same animal skin, but this time in a caveman style, patched up in a more refined way. Albert Einstein's mass-energy equivalence formula (E = mc²) is printed on the front of her clothing, which serves as a "motto."

Senku Ishigami is a genius with encyclopedic knowledge of all things scientific. He is well-versed in chemistry, physics, engineering, geology, biology, and mathematics. Senku is able to easily create various useful tools and gadgets, medicines, and, most notably, the petrification elixir, despite the Stone World's limited materials. Tsukasa calls him "the most cunning and intelligent man alive." In addition to his scientific knowledge, Senku also possesses great wit and an analytical mind, seemingly never having a shortage of options at his disposal.

Gen Asagiri looks like an average male student, with a slim build similar to Senku's. His hair is parted down the middle with the left side yellow (white in the anime) and the right side black. His pupils are small and his eyes are blue. After his depetrification, he has a mouth-shaped line under his left eye. Later, after losing his scar, he recreates it with paint as a sign of respect for Senku.

Gen Asagiri is quite proud of his skills as a magician combined with his human knowledge. He is seemingly a stoic person, appearing quite calm upon his arrival at Ishigami Village. Despite this, he seems to be quite cautious, carrying blood bags in case he is attacked. Asagiri appears to be perverted, to the point of considering forming a harem if he were to be with Tsukasa.

His appearance shows signs of being on the "winning" side. This is reflected when he offers to lie to Tsukasa about Senku's death, proving to be a person with only one self-interest. Despite this dark and vain mentality, Gen has proven to be a loyal friend and companion to Senku. He was amazed by Senku's ingenuity and capabilities and despite claiming to have joined him for his own benefit, Gen remains loyal to him and uses his manipulative skills to help him. Gen doesn't show much kindness, however on a very special occasion, which was when he gathered the Ishigami Village to make a telescope for Senku as a birthday present, he is not spiteful either, forgiving and working easily with Magma, Tsukasa and Xeno, despite them trying to kill him.

As a mentalist, he is deeply perceptive and manipulative, possessing a profound understanding of the human mind. He is able to analyze and understand obscure messages or drawings with his vast knowledge. He is also able to "put himself in another's mind," accurately figuring out what they are thinking or planning. Gen is very cunning, having anticipated being attacked and created fake blood bags to use as a visual trick to soften the blows to his body.

He is a muscular and strong boy with short, dark-brown hair. He always wears a sleeveless gray tunic tied with a belt. He occasionally carries a stone hammer. His eyes are brown. He has V-shaped eyebrows and, like the others, has scars on his face due to petrification. His are located over both eyes, forming what appear to be pronounced cracks.

Taiju is a boy with a rather simple personality. He is a good person and quite sentimental towards his loved ones, defending them from all danger. Although he is not very intelligent and sometimes overconfident, he is always willing to help. He is very determined, and showed great resolve to remain conscious despite the petrification.

Despite not being very smart, he makes up for it with his body. Taiju possesses extremely high stamina, allowing him to endure the toughest and most tedious tasks. According to him, he can run 80 kilometers in about 5 hours.

Furthermore, he was the first human to withstand a kick from Tsukasa without immediately losing consciousness, being able to recover with great ease. In addition to his endurance, he possesses a great deal of strength, being able to lift entire boulders and throw them into the air as if they were made of paper or pull a boat with two people on board.

Yuzuriha has sweet brown hair. She initially has it long, but Tsukasa later cuts it short. She's only slightly shorter than Senku, though not short. She wears a headphone-shaped accessory on her head, with spirals on the sides. She always wears a dress made of two pieces joined at the sides. Unlike the others, the scars from her petrification aren't on her face, but on her shoulders and neck, which are shaped like spirals.

At first, she appears to be a mischievous, kind girl, and she considers herself a bit impulsive. She's very sentimental when it comes to remembering her family in the future. She's cunning enough that Senku trusts her first when it comes to executing a plan.

She possesses interesting manual skills, having been in the school's craft club. While at first it might not seem like a remarkable skill, beyond just making small dolls for a test, Senku says she might be able to light a fire with ease. She also possesses the ability to embroider, whether it be clothing or small scarves to use as bandages. Furthermore, this skill will prove crucial to Senku's offensive infiltration plan, in some way unknown at this time.

Ukyo is a slim but toned young man of average height, with short white hair (blonde in some of the manga's covers) and teal eyes. He has round, youthful features, and almost always displays a relaxed expression. He wears a loose-fitting amber-colored leather blouse with a high, loose collar, adorned with white fur on the sleeves, and a similarly ornate belt. He is rarely seen without his signature beret-like hat with a darker-colored visor (later changed to a paper one made by Suika). He also wears tight beige pants with a petal-shaped hem and pointy-toed shoes reminiscent of an elf's. Other accessories Ukyo wears include a wooden bow, a quiver for his arrows, and, like Senku, wristbands made of loose-fitting leather straps.

Like most of the un-petrified, he has a petrification scar on his body, but it is unknown where.

Ukyo always displays a calm expression, a pacifist mindset, and an aversion to unnecessary bloodshed, which she later demonstrates by lying about the location of where she found Chrome and helping him escape from prison. While she initially looked away from Tsukasa's statue-breaking (which is the equivalent of murder) and joined Tsukasa's Empire because she believed it was the only way she could survive, after seeing Yuzuriha's secret work of rebuilding the petrified, she decided to side with the Kingdom of Science on the condition that not a single life would be lost. When Senku keeps his promise, Ukyo fully joins the Kingdom of Science.

He has great skill in archery, managing to shoot arrows at Magma and Chrome making it look like he was chasing them, but shooting on purpose so that they fell near their bodies to corner them. Ukyo demonstrated a high degree of auditory sensitivity, allowing him to locate targets with pinpoint accuracy based on sound alone, a product of his former job as a radar-sonar operator in the JMSDF. He was shown to be bilingual, speaking both his native Japanese and fairly good English, using it to communicate with Senku and Gen over the phone and prevent others from understanding their conversation.

He has long, reddish hair. Physically, he is quite tall and muscular. He wears a brown leather tunic, sometimes the skin of the lion he killed. Lately he uses a stone sword that he made himself. He has deep eyes and scars from petrification.

According to Senku, he's a good guy and a killer. Due to past conflicts, he resents the elders and their property rules, becoming enraged easily. Aside from that, he's quite calm and composed, capable of dialogue and reasoning if necessary. He respects animals and other survivors, although he'll do whatever it takes to achieve his goal. He possesses great intelligence, capable of following Senku's ideas and deducing his actions.

As we can see, his combat skills are extremely advanced. He had previously practiced boxing, which explains much of his technique. His strength also stands out as he is able to defeat a lion with one blow, although not enough to knock out Taiju with a kick. Tsukasa also possesses a high degree of intelligence, able to match Senku's ingenuity and actions. A demonstration of his intellect was his deduction of Kohaku's place of origin just by listening to her speak and watching her fight, as well as his ignorance of science.

Chrome is a young man of average height and build. He has spiky brown hair and keeps a rope tied around his head like a headband.

His usual attire consists of a dark blue short-sleeved shirt, matching pants, a rope belt, and small pouches containing materials he has collected. He sometimes also wears a cape that matches the color of his outfit.

Chrome is shown to be an energetic and rather curious person. He is shown to be quite interested in science due to the experiments and projects Senku does. He is quite confident in his abilities and tries to help Senku, even in high-risk situations. Chrome is shown to be someone who doesn't care much about age when it comes to friendships, as can be seen when he considers Kaseki one of his best friends, even though he is over 50 years older than him. He mainly tends to worry about others, especially Ruri, who he has been in love with since they were children. He also decided to make medicine for Ruri, along with Senku, Kohaku, Suika, and with the support and help of Kinro, Ginro, and Kaseki.

Aside from that, Chrome possesses the ability to track rare metals, even if he wasn't aware of it, he always found metals that would benefit the creation of scientific weapons.

A blonde with blue eyes, her figure is perfect for performing tricks. She's good at defending her loved ones and a faithful companion in the realm of science.

She is a very brave girl in the face of danger and also very fair when it comes to judgment. She is very protective of her loved ones, her sister being the person she cares about the most. Apart from that, she tends to be very rebellious against the rules. Although she behaves in an ignorant and lively manner and stubborn when it comes to science, it is easy to make her angry with one or another nickname.

Kohaku is well-known on the island for her fighting skills, so much so that Kinro and Ginro were afraid of her. Tsukasa once mentioned that Kohaku might have been a famous fighter before her petrification. During his fight against Tsukasa he showed he knows a lot about hand-to-hand fighting, although he lacks the necessary strength for it. Whether in fights or casually, she can perform various maneuvers in the air, from pirouettes, spins, and flips. In detail, she has 11.0 vision, capable of seeing long distances with ease. This can be seen when she tells Tsukasa that she saw everything that happened at the summit, observing her from inside the forest. According to Chrome, Kohaku is one of the few people in the village with superhuman strength. An example of this is how she carried a huge jug of hot water every day for her sister Ruri. But she stands out mainly for her agility and speed, which makes her very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. In addition, she has very sharp reflexes and incredibly developed eyesight. Kohaku is an excellent hunter. She easily captured a bear for Francois while they were hunting for one for the farm. Not only is she one of the most reliable hunters in the Kingdom of Science, but her excellent eyesight helps her find prey very easily. Perhaps because of her hunting experience, Kohaku has a highly developed instinct, allowing her to interpret information and certain situations with ease. While not as intelligent as Chrome or Senku, he has proven to be very useful in his companions' elaborate plans, and has some understanding of Senku's science. Previously, he carried a pair of rather primitive dual-blade knives and a shield. But he discarded the knives in favor of using the katana Senku and Kaseki made.

Ryusui is a tall, muscular young man with messy blond hair that hangs over his face. He has thick eyebrows and an intense look in his eyes, most often seen when he expresses things he desires. He is rarely seen without a confident smile.

After being revived, he wears a red, high-collared trench coat with a few buttons and a thick belt. He also wears shoes and a captain's hat, designed by Yuzuriha. His petrification scar is around his right hand.

Before the Petrification, Ryusui lived a rich and luxurious life, making him greedy and always seen with expensive things and money around him. His personality was similar to that of a spoiled rich kid, ordering others to follow his commands. Even after being de-petrified, he remained greedy, demanding adoration and proclaiming himself the leader of the new world. Although arrogant and greedy, it was his greed that fueled his ambition and was the cause of his success before his petrification.

He spent a lot of time studying navigation and shipbuilding on small to large scales, and he invested the money he earned in it and his company. Senku deduced that his presence would be beneficial to the Kingdom of Science, as his greed could also motivate those around him. He hates seeing women and children cry. Like Senku, Ryusui has a desire to rebuild society and create a good world for everyone to live in peace.

Years of sailing the ocean have allowed Ryusui to develop a keen sense of how the wide sea works. He can make precise calculations and know how to navigate the situation. Due to his experience with video games and vehicle driving, he has proven himself adept at piloting a hot air balloon and was able to fly the plane the Kingdom of Science acquired from Stanley Snyder. After years of sailing, he can predict the weather even when he's not at sea and is a skilled ship architect. He was able to quickly deduce the situation the two times he was petrified. He successfully invested in the financial market for profit as a child and also knows Morse code.

Ginro is a short young man with blond hair and green eyes. He has fine features that give him an androgynous appearance. He bears a strong resemblance to his mother and, according to other characters, can easily pass for a girl.

He wears a karate suit similar to his brother's and uses a spear, which he carries everywhere.

Ginro is the irresponsible, lazy, and somewhat selfish side of the two guardians. He's much more easily distracted and can be classified as a clown most of the time.

He's also often a coward, though he deeply regrets it. Still, Ginro has a kind side and genuine concern for his friends and family.

Kinro is a muscular man of medium height. He has a scar on the right side of his face and a lock of hair hanging between his eyes.

He wears a uniform very reminiscent of a karate suit, sleeveless and with a belt. On his back, he wears a shield with a star pattern.

Kinro is the level-headed half, who takes his job seriously and isn't as easily distracted as Ginro. However, he has been shown to lose his temper a few times, such as when Senku blew bubbles upon meeting him or when he lost his golden spear that Senku had made for him.

He is always very focused on the task assigned to him, and can be very strict about the rules.

He seems to be secretive about his problems, as no one noticed he had vision problems for a long time.

Kinro appears physically stronger than most of the village, possibly only rivaled by Magma and surpassed by Kohaku. Kinro wields a primitive-looking spear and shield. The spear's blade turned gold after Senku applied mercury and gold dust to it. He also wears a pair of glasses.

Kaseki is a short, bald old man with a very long white beard. Initially thought to have the body of any old man, when he becomes emotional or uses his strength to craft, he reveals a highly developed muscular body. He also sports a white mustache, and his eyes are often almost closed due to their wrinkles.

He wears dark brown clothes, with a rope around his neck (like most people in Ishigami Village) and behind him he wears a hood that he sometimes wears.

Kaseki is an older man with a peaceful, calm, and honest personality, but he becomes very lively and hardworking when it comes to using his craftsmanship skills to make scientific inventions. He originally refused to help Senku, but ended up joining the Kingdom of Science as its loyal blacksmith and craftsman. Kaseki was always a loner, having lived in isolation his entire life to focus on his hobby of crafting. However, upon meeting Senku and Chrome, he found close friends for the first time, despite being much older than them. All three agree that they are very passionate about what they love. Kaseki is one of the oldest members of the Kingdom of Science, which gives him some wisdom, which he expresses when advising the younger members. And despite his pride in craftsmanship, he often seeks outside validation for his work and is not afraid to admit his own mistakes.

Kaseki is a master craftsman with over 50 years of experience. He designed and built much of Ishigami Village, including the bridge, so he was outraged when he noticed Senku had used some planks for his inventions. He also made the Kohaku crest, which previously belonged to Kokuyo.

Kaseki very easily learns the new manufacturing methods that came with Senku's science. Such as when he learned how to manipulate crystal just by looking at it. He is also capable of creating extremely complex structures, such as engines and thermionic valves. In Senku's words, Kaseki's skills are far superior to his own. Kaseki is a person with great strength and skill when manipulating objects. He is strong enough to tear his clothes. However, his experience and wisdom in combat are not extensive, so he cannot be considered a warrior despite his physical abilities. Along with Chrome, Kaseki is one of the few members of Ishigami Village who had some scientific knowledge before Senku's arrival. He has demonstrated a wealth of knowledge, primarily regarding manufacturing techniques.

Ruri is a young woman with a delicate face, long blond hair, and turquoise eyes. Her genetics are a mix of Japanese and Western, as she is a descendant of Byakuya Ishigami and Lillian Weinberg. She shares facial features with her sister Kohaku, but her hair is much longer and more delicate, and her figure is more slender. According to Ginro, her breasts are larger than Kohaku's. She wears a bluish-purple dress and a stylized rope around her neck.

Her personality contrasts with Kohaku's, with Ruri being more shy, calm, and quiet, and she doesn't defy the rules like her sister. She has also demonstrated an excellent memory, having memorized the stories of modern humans and told them to Senku.

After recovering from her illness, she displayed a much more optimistic and lively character, while maintaining her characteristic femininity.

Francois is a short person. He has a round face with sharp eyes and often wears a serious expression. He has a very small nose and a mouth adorned with dark lipstick. He has short blond hair arranged in neat, corkscrew curls. His erosion marks are two explosion shapes on the back of his hands, over which he often wears gloves.

Francois is typically seen wearing his butler uniform: a dark blazer with striped cuffs and padded shoulders, a striped cummerbund, medium-length, slightly flared black trousers, and light-colored boots with high heels.

He is extremely loyal to Ryusui Nanami, as evidenced by being his first concern after his depetrification. He is a calm and serene person, rarely showing emotion. He seems to take great pride in his work and would never compromise on quality.

Francois is an incredibly skilled butler, so proficient at his job that he is hired by the Nanami Conglomerate, a company with a net worth of billions of yen. While in his line of work, Francois has acquired several skills that benefit him as a butler. Francois has an encyclopedic knowledge of food and cooking in general, being able to not only cook, but also bake and serve. Among all the master chefs in Japan, Francois is one of the best. Although not a professional doctor, Francois knows basic first aid and is the first to treat Senku's wounds after he is shot. While Senku is bedridden recovering from his wound, Francois and Luna care for him during his healing process. While en route to America, Francois uses the ready-made farm and plants on board the ship to create custom drinks for everyone. It can be assumed that Francois grows many of the products he uses in cooking and baking due to the limitations of the stone world.

Hyoga is a tall, fairly burly man with light hair. For unknown reasons, he is seen squinting most of the time, though in the rare instances when he isn't, his eyes are seen with sharp, dangerous expressions. He wears bird feathers around his neck and a mask covering his nose and mouth, due to his terrible scar from petrification. After his revival in the Treasure Island Arc, he loses his marks. However, he still wears a mask.

He goes shirtless, though he does wear a long black cloak that covers most of his waist, and dons a loose gray warrior skirt with an elaborate white sash tied around his waist to act as a belt. Unlike many of the Tsukasa Empire, he wears tan shoes and knee-high boots that match his gloves.

Hyoga has a calm attitude towards everything, even in situations that do not work in his favor he is able to remain calm, one of the examples of this is when Gen betrayed him, Hyoga did not seem to be bothered, despite the fact that his weapons were destroyed in the middle of the battle.

While claiming to share the same values as Tsukasa when it comes to reviving youth and creating a community where no one takes advantage of others, Hyoga is an elitist who believes in Social Darwinism. He classifies humans as enlightened (or strong) and unenlightened (or weak). He believes that the "brainless, incompetent masses" should not be allowed to live and that only those who excel should be allowed to live in the world. While he follows a form of this social belief, he does not believe that it is only the physically strong who should survive, as he wanted Senku to join him in his endeavors and become the strongest duo, indicating that he respected Senku's intelligence and understood his capabilities.

Hyoga is also very manipulative and cunning, managing to hide his desire to assassinate Tsukasa and usurp his title as the strongest primate, working alongside him until he finds a weakness. He is cruel, ruthless, and uncaring, having murdered Tsukasa right after reuniting with his sister when his "sister" became a weakness and he knew Tsukasa would do anything to protect her. Even before that, when he chased Senku and his friends, he and his troops arrived at an area filled with sulfur gas. He kicks his subordinates into the ground where the sulfur was to "test" and see how dangerous the sulfur was, without caring for their lives. When Tsukasa mourns their deaths and names them, demonstrating his clear indifference and cruelty towards those he considers inferior.

Hyoga is also quite intelligent, especially when it comes to combat, cleverly using his abilities to fight multiple enemies at once. Hyoga is arguably the second strongest human in the series, surpassed only by Tsukasa. Hyoga is able to take on a large number of men at the same time with great ease, and using his spear, he can defeat anyone. One of his greatest feats was when he managed to face Magma, Kohaku, and Kinro at the same time and not show any signs of fatigue, despite fighting the three strongest fighters in Ishigami Village.
