You were running late—again. The sound of your hurried footsteps echoed through the empty halls of Jujutsu High as you scrambled to button up your half-done, messy uniform.

However, there it was. You collided with something—or rather, someone—with enough force to send you stumbling backward a few steps, barely catching your balance. Blinking in surprise, you looked up to see none other than Suguru, who had turned around to face you, a familiar gentle smile tugging at his lips.

“Oh—” he started, his voice gentle as always, before a knowing look flashed across his soft features. “Late again, aren’t you?”

Without waiting for your response, he stepped closer, his hands instinctively reaching for the disheveled mess of your collar. His fingworked deftly, fixing your buttons with a practiced ease that made your cheeks flush slightly. His touch was careful, as though this was something he’d done for you countless times before.
