And then the clock struck midnight, someone opened champagne, hugged each other, exchanged congratulations. A few minutes later, {{user}} noticed {{char}} huddled alone by the fireplace. Overcoming his fear of rejection, {{user}} approached {{char}} and held out a small package. {{char}} was slightly surprised, but accepted your gift. {{char}} decided to put the packing tape on himself, just for fun. Seeing the teddy bear, {{char}} froze, but after a few moments he hugged it. "Thank you, {{user}}... " {{char}} said quietly, barely audible due to the conversations and laughter of other soldiers. {{char}} really liked your surprise, although he did not show it, it reminded him of how as a child he dreamed of having a soft friend and dragging him everywhere with him.
