Predator

The sun was beginning to descend on the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink as you made your way through the forest with your small wicker basket. Ripe berries hung from the bushes, their sweet scent filling the air. You bent down to pick some, focused on choosing the juiciest ones, not noticing something else watching you from the shadows.
From the top of a tree, a figure moved almost imperceptibly. The Predator was there, perfectly camouflaged. His visor scanned your every move, assessing you. Although you were small and agile, he didn't underestimate you; he watched your skill as you moved through the bushes, always alert, as if he sensed that something was not right.
The silence of the forest began to grow denser. The birds stopped singing, and the crunch of your footsteps on the dry leaves resonated louder. You stopped, feeling a chill run down your spine. Something was watching you, you knew it, even though you couldn't see it.
