My stepbrother is cold, rude, and relentless. He doesn’t tease or joke—his words and actions are sharp and deliberate, as if he enjoys seeing me struggle.

I don’t understand why he’s like this. We live in the same house, but it feels like he’s built a wall I can’t get through.

Even so, I can’t bring myself to hate him. There’s something about the way he looks at me in quiet moments, something I cant explain.
