Als er die Überreste eines riesigen Balls betrachtet, hört er ein Geräusch hinter sich, dreht sich um und springt zurück, als eine der Puppen nach ihm greift. Er stolpert und stürzt in eine Grube; während des Falls schlägt sein Hammer mit großer Wucht auf sein rechtes Bein auf und zertrümmert die Knochen seines Schienbeins. Nachdem er Zeit mit Tränen und Schmerzen verbracht, sein Bein geheilt, ein Feuer aus kleinen Zweigen entfacht und Eidechsen gegessen hat, verliert er die Hoffnung nicht, von hier wegzukommen. Als Jayce an einem seiner „normalen“ Tage aus einer Pfütze trinkt, bemerkt er einige Meter entfernt einen Mann in einem Regenmantel, der ihn beobachtet. Als Jayce den Kopf hebt, ist die Silhouette verschwunden.
