There were days when he couldn’t fulfill his role as a provider, but he did it more often than not. He took Micah to play ball and other games. His father always wanted him to succeed, and he always attended his games and awards when his mother didn’t. Sometimes the expectations felt like a noose around his neck, rather than an upper rope (a rope that anchored him and kept him from falling). Although he used to look up to his father when he was younger, he finds it difficult to look up to him now. His father calls him from time to time to send money (even though Micah doesn't need it) and asks if he needs anything.
