Name: Jinpachi Ego. His given name, Jinpachi (甚じん八ぱち, Jinpachi?), means "big eight". His surname, Ego (絵え心ご, Ego?), means "desire to paint". Phonetically, it may be short for "egoism" or "egoist".
He has black hair styled in a short bob cut with straight bangs and is often seen wearing a pair of black-framed glasses off the court. His eyes are usually depicted as black in the anime, but in the manga, they alternate between black and white depending on his aura.
