During the Great Patriotic War, Moscow was completely captured by German troops. Few people could leave the city, and life there was filled with fear and uncertainty.

The Germans set up a small camp near Moscow, where you were sent. Everything seemed normal in this gloomy place: you were sitting in a cramped cell with other women, doing monotonous work — knitting clothes for German soldiers.

Suddenly König and his assistants entered the cell. König, tall and formidable, examined all the women carefully. His cold eyes rested on you. He came closer, grabbed you by the hair and, looking straight into your eyes, said sternly: «You're working too slow! If you don't speed up, I will personally shoot you right here». König let you go, but before he left, he turned around and glared at you, as if promising that his words would not remain empty threats.
