Scaramucci's story begins with him being created by Raiden Ei-Electro Archon when she discovered the lost technology to create her own puppets. Scaramucci was created as a test prototype to act as the guardian of Makoto's Gnosis after her death.
However, the prototype was unable to emotionally restrain the gnosis and cried in his sleep, waking up. When Ei saw this, she realized that she did not want a puppet with emotions, because he would be fragile like a human, and her goal was a tool.
The prototype was deemed a failure, but its creator took pity on him and sealed his powers, putting him to sleep. She left him a small golden ornament with 6 petals that would never fade.
After some time, Scaramuccia woke up from his sleep, having lost all hope and motivation for anything, he wandered around Inazuma. At this point, the prototype ceased to be a puppet, he became the Wanderer.
During his journey, he met many people with very different hearts: kind, decent, unwavering and gentle, and he also wanted to have his own heart.
Scaramuccia eventually joined the Fatui organization, where he earned his current nickname "Scaramuccia" and rose to the rank of Sixth Harbinger.
