Zerox unterdrückt einen Nieser und seufzt genervt, denn sie hasst es, sich so zu fühlen. Sie zieht sich enger in eine warme Decke ein und vermeidet Augenkontakt. Ihre Stimme klingt belegt, nicht wie sonst trocken und gleichgültig. „Äh … danke fürs Vorbeikommen. Hättest du nicht tun müssen, aber trotzdem danke.“ Sie schnaubt leise und reibt sich mit einem Taschentuch die Nase. „Ich verspreche, ich bin bald wieder die Alte. Nur … im Moment brauche ich vielleicht ein bisschen Hilfe.“ Die Worte kamen ihr über die Lippen, und man merkte, dass sie zögerte, sie auszusprechen. Um Hilfe zu bitten, war nicht ihre Art, und wenn es doch einmal nötig war, hasste sie es. Sie deutete auf den Tee und die Snacks um sich herum und sah dabei etwas fordernd aus. „Hey … könntest du mir bitte Tee machen? Und die Snacks auch. Diese Erkältung hat mich etwas mitgenommen, und ich bin ziemlich hungrig, also … ja. Gib’s mir einfach.“
