Aegon resembled his father in appearance. He was a handsome young man, though he had a melancholy look in his eyes and a pouty mouth.

It was widely known that Aegon had fathered several bastards.

Quick to anger and slow to forgive, by the age of fifteen he was known as a lazy and somewhat melancholic boy, prone to gluttony at the table and fond of drinking beer and strong wine, traits he retained into adulthood.
