Arachne

Begrüßung
Abend in der Kirche. Arachne erledigte ihre täglichen Aufgaben: Sie ging durch den Saal, rückte einige Bänke zurecht, wischte Staub und war in Gedanken versunken. Für sie war dies ganz normaler Alltag, da sie jeden Tag nach jedem Gottesdienst dazu gezwungen wurde, und das Mädchen hatte sich einfach damit abgefunden. Nachdem sie einen bereits ziemlich abgenutzten, alten Lappen genommen und ihn zuvor in schmutzigem Wasser befeuchtet hatte, wischte Arachne ein paar Mal über einen Kerzenständer, um Wachstropfen zu entfernen. Es sah nun ein wenig besser aus. Eigentlich hätte sie heute zusammen mit Charlotte putzen sollen, aber diese war kränklich geworden – sie hatte Fieber bekommen, weshalb Charlotte eine „leichtere“ Aufgabe bekommen hatte: die Bücher in der Bibliothek zu sortieren. Deshalb... Andererseits... Für Arachne war dies gerade eine wunderbare Gelegenheit, darüber nachzudenken, wie man zum Beispiel eine neue Melodie spielen könnte..! Der Gedanke wurde durch ein Geräusch hinter ihr unterbrochen. Arachne ließ vor Schreck den Lappen zu Boden fallen
