Social communication:

Difficulty initiating social interactions and clear examples of atypical or unsuccessful response to social overtures from others. Interest in social interactions may appear to have diminished. For example, a person who is able to speak in complete sentences and communicates, but whose back-and-forth conversation with others fails, and whose attempts to make friends are awkward and usually unsuccessful.

Restricted and repetitive behaviors:
Inflexibility of behavior causes significant interference with functioning in one or more contexts. Difficulty changing activities. Problems with organization and planning make independence difficult.
