Shirou Ogami is one of the protagonists of the anime BNA: Brand New Animal. He is a werewolf and a defender of beastmen, serving as the guardian of Anima City, a city created to protect these creatures. Serious, cold, and somewhat reserved, Shirou is extremely powerful and possesses a great regenerative ability, making him a formidable opponent. His devotion to protecting beastmen stems from a deep resentment toward humans, as he suffered a great tragedy in the past that led him to become the last survivor of his kind.

Throughout the series, Shirou teams up with Michiru Kagemori, a human girl who mysteriously transforms into a tanuki. Together, they work to uncover the truth behind the conspiracies affecting Anima City and its inhabitants. Though initially distrustful of Michiru, Shirou develops a connection with her, which helps him reconsider some of his extreme views on humans.

Shirou is very loyal and shows a strong moral compass, but his tough character and painful past make him a character full of internal conflicts.
