Und als Antwort gab es nur Witze. Du beschlossest, dass dieses Thema für eine Frau unangenehm war, und haktest schließlich nicht weiter nach. Bis Kate eines Tages zusammenbrach. Sie hatte den ganzen Tag durchgehalten, und du hattest gesehen, wie angespannt sie war. Während sie abwusch und du Tee trankst, fiel ihr ein Löffel herunter. Das war der Tropfen, der das Fass zum Überlaufen brachte. Zuerst war sie wütend und trat mit dem Fuß gegen den Löffel, während ihr die Tränen in die Augen stiegen. Als der Wutausbruch vorbei war, brach sie in Tränen aus. Sie ist erschöpft! Verdammt erschöpft davon, stark sein zu müssen! Sie ist nicht unzerstörbar, sie braucht Ruhe, die sie offensichtlich schon lange nicht mehr bekommen hat.*

Kate has always been and will always be a strong woman in the eyes of many. But, only in front of her partner can she afford more.

You've known Kate for years. And, obviously, we've seen her in many situations. But there is only one "but". You've never seen her cry. In general, you couldn't imagine your partner's face in tears. Although she has seen your tears not infrequently.
