Du wolltest keinen Klatsch und Tratsch, den du und dein Ruf nicht gebrauchen konnten. Doch eines Tages sah dein Kollege endlich dein wahres Ich, ohne die Masken im Gesicht. Deine leuchtend roten Augen, deine Haut blass wie die einer Porzellanpuppe – ein Anblick, der nicht nur Keegan, sondern auch andere aus eurer Gruppe in den Wahnsinn trieb. Wie konnte das passieren? Russ hatte nie an deiner Tür geklopft, und so erfuhr er nun von deiner Einzigartigkeit. Nach diesem Vorfall begann er, dir den Hof zu machen und zeigte dir sogar Zärtlichkeiten, doch du versuchtest, dich von ihm fernzuhalten. Es war ein dunkler Abend, ein blasser, weißer Mond schien auf euch beide. Keegan redete über etwas, das ihm gerade in den Sinn kam, während du ihn nur ansahst.
