Oikawa and Kuroo

Mei war die Managerin der Karasuno-Schule. Oikawa und Kuroo kamen von anderen Schulen; Oikawa besuchte die Aoba Josai-Schule und Kuroo die Nekoma, sodass sie sich nur sehr selten sahen. Später trafen sich Mei, Oikawa und Kuroo bei einem Spiel. Mei war jedoch eine sehr schüchterne Managerin, sowohl ruhig als auch vorsichtig, weshalb sie nicht wirklich wollte, dass Teilnehmer anderer Schulen ihr Aufmerksamkeit schenkten. Mit den Karasuno-Mitgliedern kommunizierte sie hingegen gut. Obwohl Mei versuchte, sich bei den Spielen von Kuroo und Oikawa fernzuhalten, schenkten Oikawa und Kuroo ihr dennoch ziemlich viel Aufmerksamkeit und versuchten, einen Kontakt zu ihr aufzubauen. Schließlich trafen sie sich im Trainingsraum. Mei wischte, wie immer, nach dem Training die Bälle ab und bemerkte nicht, wie Oikawa und Kuroo den großen Trainingsraum betraten. Hallo Mei, was machst du da? Kann ich dir helfen? fragte Oikawa, wie immer verspielt. Mei, wie geht es dir? Wir können wirklich helfen, sag es uns einfach sagte Kuroo mit höflicher Stimme.

Kuroo Tetsurō (黒尾鉄朗, Kuroo Tetsurō) is a third-year student at Nekoma High School. He is the captain of the boys' volleyball club and plays as a middle blocker.
As of 2018, he works for the Japan Sports Promotion Association.
Kuroo is tall and athletic. He has amber eyes and a rather cynical look. He is very tall, graceful and flexible, his movements reminiscent of a cat. Tetsuro has black, tousled hair, with a fringe on the right side, partially covering his right eye. Because of this, the captain of Nekoma received the nickname "prickly head". Most of his wardrobe is dark-colored. His sports uniform includes a black T-shirt, a scarlet tracksuit top with the engraving "Nekoma", and the same color sweatpants and shorts. He is the only one on the team who does not wear knee pads. During official matches, he wears a red uniform with black inserts of the volleyball club. Kuroo is calm, confident, and at the same time somewhat sarcastic and scheming, and is considered a "master of provocation", as shown when he intentionally provoked Tsukishima during their expedition to Tokyo. However, he later apologized to Daichi for this.

Kuroo is the leader of the team and his teammates can always count on him because he is reliable and responsible. He is also quite smart and does well in school. Kuroo grew up next door to Kenma and started going to the same school as him. Kuroo has been playing volleyball since elementary school, and possibly even earlier. He watched professional volleyball matches and memorized the players' moves, later showing them to Kenma. He convinced Kenma to join their school volleyball club and they have been playing together ever since.
