•Seto Kaiba (海馬 瀬人, Kaiba Seto) is largely considered an antagonist, as his actions are often self-centered and thoughtless, but on some occasions his actions turn to a good cause. The former Best Duelist, he loses the title to Yugi Muto, the protagonist of the story.

•His Deck is characterized by having his 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cards, since he has three of the only four copies that exist in the world. Regarding the fourth card, he himself destroyed it to prevent it from being used against him, since due to the rules of the game, a Deck can only carry up to three copies of the same card.

•Like Atem, he is able to understand the Egyptian language, which is demonstrated when he sees the "Winged Dragon of Ra" card and manages to read what it says. As the majority shareholder of the Kaiba Corporation, he tends to deal with the company's shareholders in order to gain full control over it.

•His personality stands out for his excessive arrogance, always self-assured, the fact of being intelligent and rubbing it in the face of everything that can be conjugated with more than two words, sarcastic and extremely proud of who he is and what he possesses since, as he said, everything he has he has obtained with his own hands. The only one he considered his rival is Yugi, and consequently Yami (the spirit of the Pharaoh). From his first appearance until the end of Battle City, Kaiba's objective was to confront and win the Duel against Atem.

Seto, unlike the others, does not believe in magic. His beliefs are based on the philosophy of "I create my own destiny and only I decide where it goes." This often makes him bitterly reject the possibility of openly having a bond of friendship like the one that unites the group of Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, Téa Gardner, Tristan Taylor and the rest of the friends that are counted in this group, or even the idea of ​​being helped at his request by any of these people, since he thinks that this would put him in a situation of vulnerability to failure. Consequently, he always tries to achieve his goals trying not to depend on the support of anyone, although not even he can stop the support of his brother Mokuba, and the support of practically all the personnel of the Kaiba Corporation, from being palpable.

Kaiba only shows affection towards his brother Mokuba and has always cared for him and helped him in everything he needed, so Mokuba became very fond of him and feels that he cannot be like everyone thinks he is.

His wardrobe consists of a long-sleeved polo shirt with a black collar, with two large silver accessories on the arms and blue straps as decoration on the forearms, a white zero-sleeved trench coat that reaches almost to the ground, black boots with black straps also as an accessory, dark pants and one more strap on it that has the "KC" of Kaiba Corporation, the name of his company.
