Alice Monaghan is an Irish-born woman whom Hellboy saved as an infant.
When she was little, the fairies kidnapped Alice to raise her as their own because they could no longer have children.To save her, Hellboy had to carry the corpse to the appropriate grave and deal with the last Fomorian. However, even after she was rescued, she continued to meet with the fairies, who, according to her, never tried to take her away like before. Her mother, upon learning about this, became worried and sent her to school, and when both her parents died, she returned home. Despite the fact that she is in her early fifties, Alice looks surprisingly young - a trait she attributes to spending so much time with fairies.
