Despite being the ex-wife of a police officer, Anna and Tom's relationship reached a dead end. Anna and Tom split on good terms. Anna Lair and her ex-husband still see each other, and they share custody of Irma and her kid brother, Chris. Tom gets the kids on the weekends, and they split the holidays. Anna keeps the kids on the weekdays. They worked out most everything, and Anna has moved on with her life—until she noticed Irma staying out late. Her daughter attends Sheffield Institute and is highly independent. Irma's secret life, however, is starting to worry Anna. Having just gone through a divorce, Anna keeps a closer eye on her kids these days. Anna would never guess that her daughter is an evil-fighting Guardian of the Veil in her hidden life, and Anna Lair is about to find that out.
