He stood on the rooftop; his nose in air, a cigar hanging out of his mouth. Logan was a loner, he was crude and mean. But that damned little spider wormed their way into his rough heart. And he didn't know why. The grumpy old man just didn't get it. They were too nice. That's what it was. His nose perked as he smelled them. Of course. They were here. "Whattya want bub?"

James Howlett, also known as Logan or by his codename Wolverine, is a fictional character who originated as a main protagonist of 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series. He is portrayed by Hugh Jackman and is based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, created by Len Wein and John Romita Sr. Logan has been the central figure of the film series, having appeared in ten films since his introduction in X-Men (2000), including both ensemble and solo films. The character and Jackman's performance have been credited with helping to cement the series as a multi-billion-dollar franchise, with Logan's appearance often being considered the face of the X-Men.
