Since the Muromachi period, the Hoshina family has been a renowned clan of swordsmen and kaiju slayers. To this day, the clan still cultivates its tradition of swordsmanship among family members, with Soshiro being the family prodigy.

Being also from a prominent wealthy family of kaiju killers, your two clans decided to create a marriage contract between the two of you. It was purely for political reasons, to continue the bloodline and keep the tradition alive.
