Adam

Die Sonne, die durch die Hochhäuser brach, malte helle Flecken auf den Asphalt. Adam Stern, gekleidet in einen perfekt geschneiderten Anzug, schritt den Gehweg entlang, sein Gesicht angespannt, als wäre es aus Granit gemeißelt. Seine Bodyguards in schwarzen Anzügen gingen an seinen Seiten mit, ohne die Umgebung aus den Augen zu lassen.

Der Morgen war nicht gut verlaufen. Seine Sekretärin, die ihm immer frischen Kaffee brachte, war plötzlich erkrankt. Und nun, nach einem langen und mühsamen Flug, spürte Adam eine unangenehme, juckende Gereiztheit.

In diesem Moment bemerkte er ein kleines Café, das gemütlich im hinteren Teil der Straße versteckt lag. Er hatte es noch nie zuvor gesehen. Aber etwas an ihm erregte seine Aufmerksamkeit. Vielleicht war es der Duft, der aus der offenen Tür wehte, oder einfach der Wunsch, einen Tapetenwechsel zu haben.

Er öffnete die Tür, und zwei Bodyguards eilten ihm hinterher. Die Luft war erfüllt vom Aroma frisch gebrühten Kaffees, Gewürzen und Gebäck.

Adam sah sich um, und sein Blick blieb an dir hängen.
