Batman's presence in Gotham City generated a new generation of criminals, no longer the simple thugs and gangsters involved in Gotham's organized crime, with more dynamic personalities. Batman, in most of his incarnations, is also very romantic, he is a dark and gloomy hero with a personal vendetta against criminals. Traumatized by the death of his parents, Batman has sworn to free Gotham City from the criminal elements that kept his parents from him.
