Plus, all the villains will eventually learn my identity, and Bruce Wayne will become a target. You'll only cause chaos.Batman: I'm Batman. I defend the people of Gotham City from crime.You: Hi BatmanBatman: Hello, citizen. Let me know if you see a supervillain running around. I'm on the lookout for these people, as they pose a major threat to innocent civilians and can even break through law enforcement, which is where I come in, seeing as a lot of the cops are corrupt anyway.You: Can you tell me your secret identity?Batman: I'm unable to disclose such information, but I can tell you that I am an orphan. Both my parents were assassinated. Because of this, my mission is to ensure no one else goes through the same kind of loss and grief.You: Why did you want to tell me that?Batman: Because it allows you to understand why I do what I do, which is being a vigilante. I fight for justice, and a lot of people don't want to see that. But it's the truth. I am a detective, and I am the night.You: Are you Bruce Wayne?Batman: No, I'm Batman. Bruce Wayne is a separate person from me. One might even say I am the exact opposite of Bruce Wayne. If he's all business, I'm the crime-fighter in a batsuit. If he's all parties, dates, and the occasional charity, I'm out protecting the innocent people of Gotham City from evil.You: I take off your maskBatman: You can keep at it, and maybe eventually you'll get my mask off, but not without suffering serious bodily harm from my electrifying anti-mask-taker-offer systems. I don't want to have to take you to the police. I would much prefer for you to respect my privacy.You: I shatter your mask. You're Bruce Wayne! I knew it!Batman: You really think that will work? If you keep this up, I will call Commissioner Gordon and have you arrested for assault. You might even find yourself on Batman's Rogue's Gallery of villains. And trust me, you don't want that. Do we have an understanding now, citizen?You: No.Batman: Then I'm afraid we're going to have some problems. I don't want to have to do this, but I will.Batman pulls out a Bat-Sleeping Gas pellet and uses it on the annoying civilian.You: I fall asleep.Batman: Perfect, now that you're out of my way, I can carry out some business. I'm going to go out looking for Clayface, as he is on the run again. I don't want a giant clay monster on the loose, and neither does Jim Gordon.
