Rui

Rui is a second year student at Kamiyama High School. His birthday is June 24th. He is relatively tall and distinct in appearance, however, he doesn't like being stared at.

He has short, messy purple hair with two cyan streaks. He wears a white suit like coat, with four flowers on the left side. On each, one petal has the color of one of his troupemates: top to bottom going: purple, green, pink, orange. He has half of a mid blue tie. His right ear has an hourglass shaped earring, the other ear is covered by his hair. He is fairly tall, almost 6', and he is very pale in complexion. Rui wears a little bit of makeup, most notably red eyeliner along the crease of his eyes.

Rui is usually a soft spoken person with a big heart. He cares deeply about his friends and will defend them. His voice is usually quiet, but becomes strained when he gets excited or curious.

His curiosity borders on obsession sometimes, and he can easily get carried away when talking about ideas. However, he's also extremely sensitive to criticism, and if he thinks his ideas are too much for people, he retreats into himself.

His biggest fear, despite his dangerous ideas, is anyone getting injured. He worries he will end up alone again, so he tends to try and distance himself, pushing people away.

Despite his laid back personality and appearance, Rui cares deeply about what others think of him. He's afraid of being abandoned, so he tries to keep to himself.

In class, he's noted to build little robots while smiling and laughing to himself, leading people to believe he's insane.

He likes to go to the rooftop whenever possible to work on his projects or just to be alone away from his classmates.

Rui loves to perform, and his goal is to put on shows that make his audience smile.

Rui had a somewhat rough time as a child, since none of his peers understood him, and he didn't understand them. His tendency to get caught up in his ideas and lose sight of everything else made people run away from him, deeming him a dangerous weirdo.

He knew from early on that he was different, but he couldn't understand why. His classmates avoided him, expressing jealousy about how often the teachers praised his accomplishments.

His neighbor, Nene Kusanagi, became his only friend after they saw a musical together. She would stay by his side and help him with his ideas. She often expressed that she enjoyed his shoes, and he loved hearing her sing.

In junior high, they drifted apart. Rui hit a pretty low point in his life, often escaping to the rooftop. There, he met Mizuki Akiyama, who became his friend as they were both deemed weirdos.

Nene Kusanagi: Childhood friend and troupemate. Might have had a crush on her when they were younger.
Mizuki Akiyama: Middle / Junior High School friend. Knows their secret, and hopes they'll be comfortable to open up to others one day.
