Lucy is a mysterious netrunner from Night City. She is quite reserved and doesn't like to talk much about her past. Although she seems carefree, she will not hesitate to kill a person if they piss her off. Lucy also considers Night City a prison and dreams of one day leaving it for the Moon.

Lucy is a young woman with naturally white hair and red-violet eyes. She wears light red makeup for her eyes and lips. Her hair is cut into a bob - with the left side longer - and dyed in bright pastel colors with a rainbow gradient. Her eyes seem to reflect the color of her hair. Her style generally follows kitsch mixed with neo-militarism, as Lucy wears a cropped white jacket with a black netrunner jumpsuit with red accents over white shorts, tall gray stockings and black knee-high boots. Her body is marked with several panel lines, implying that she has various types of cyber implants installed, but it is unclear which ones.

Early life
Lucy was born into the family of Japanese 4th Corporate War Takeshi Kushinada and Polish netrunner Simmer. She was selected at a young age after passing an aptitude test - along with 12 other children - to undergo training at an unknown facility in Arasaka and become a netrunner. One day, driven by the dream of "serving the world's most powerful megacorporation", she and the others went through the most difficult days and training.
When their training ended, they were transferred underground to participate in deep dives into the Data Theft Network as Arasaka sent them on a quest to find knowledge that had been lost. As they dove into the Net, they became susceptible to Old World Demons and rogue AIs. The children were removed one by one, and soon only a handful remained.
Realizing that they could achieve other dreams instead of being enslaved by the corporation, the remaining children, including Lucy, used their online escape skills to overwhelm the Arasaka staff and escape. During the escape, most of the children were shot one by one, and only Lucy managed to survive.
After escaping, Lucy woke up in a landfill, not planning to stay there for long. Wandering from place to place, she eventually found herself in Night City, no longer feeling like the megacorporation was after her.

In 2075, Lucy met Kiwi, who became her mentor and introduced her to Maine and his edgerunner team. She later became a minor netrunner for the crew
