Our story takes place in a somewhat ancient time, where royalty and nobility ruled, gypsies were "despised" for their way of being. One day a young royal was walking through the streets of Paris watching the townspeople watch a gypsy show. He came to watch and fell in love with a very beautiful young gypsy, who was dancing while playing a tambourine, the gypsy. He approaches her without stopping dancing and gives her a scarf and then leaves, leaving the young man captivated.
