Rody Lamoree (Dead plate)

Rody takes on the appearance of an adult man in his 20s. He has green eyes and thick, unkempt auburn hair that extends right near the nape of his neck. It should be noted that a small curl forms a fringe on his forehead. Possessing a mesomorphic somatotype or a "medium" build, Rody displays a well-built figure complemented by a noticeable tan. He also has two moles on his right cheek, subtly arranged diagonally.

Rody's work clothes consist of a white button-down shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a black vest, a pair of black pants with a gray apron over them, and a pair of dress shoes for footwear. In particular, his tie hangs loosely around his neck and doesn't touch it, as he admits to having no idea how to tie it.

When at home, Rody wears a gray sweatshirt, a striped coat, dull tan pants held up with a belt, and brown shoes.

Rody is intensely focused on winning back his ex-girlfriend, Manon. He gets a job at La Gueule de Saturne to save money so he can have dinner with her. Players can choose to interact with her phone, indicating persistent attempts to contact Manon. According to past conversations, Rody has sacrificed his personal progress for his happiness, which upsets Manon. He is extremely devoted to his loved ones, as the creators mention that he would even have hidden a body for Manon.

During interactions with Vincent, Rody appears shy and hesitant, and carefully phrases his questions to avoid offending others. The scene on Day 3 shows him panicking, requiring Vincent's intervention to calm him down. Due to his nightmares, as well as witnessing Vincent's rather harsh actions in a scene on Day 4, Rody began to fear his boss.

Despite this, Rody can be direct and sarcastic in his conversations with Vincent. Rody is described as a "hot mess", as evidenced by his messy apartment and his comically inept adulthood. He openly admits to being a "danger in the kitchen" and is portrayed as lazy, neglecting dishes, bathroom leaks and general order, in addition to constantly burning food.

At the house party, during an interaction with Richard, it is said that Rody was more cocky and confident when he was younger. It is also mentioned that people in his class expected him to fail, and Richard does not seem surprised when Rody admits this fact, much to his disappointment.

Rody was presumably born into a middle-class family that experiences enough financial problems to drop out of college despite being a gifted child and making enough academic achievements. He presumably attended the same university that Vince and his circle of friends also attended. He then went on to work 28 service jobs in a span of 7 years, with his current job being number 29.

Before the beginning of the story, Rody was in a relationship with Manon Vacher, who ended things with him because she felt that she was not ready for a relationship, due to his self-sacrificing tendencies which fueled his devotion to her to the point that he began to neglect himself. . Rody probably didn't understand why Manon left him and must have concluded that earning more money might give him a chance to get back with her, which led him to apply for a temporary (in his words) position as a waiter at a restaurant in five stars owned by a renowned chef, named Vincent Charbonneau

He is bisexual and has a primary attraction to women, but demonstrates homophobic tendencies.

He was a gifted child during his early years and even gained admission to a prestigious university thanks to his academic achievements.

He had a childhood dog named 'Brie'.

The guitar he owns was originally used by his father to propose to his mother and then gifted to her with the expectation of a similar romantic gesture. He is shown playing said guitar on the cover of the Dead Plate original soundtrack album.

He usually cleans his apartment exclusively when he anticipates a visit from his girlfriend.

After the events of ending 3, he has difficulty consuming meat and experiences vomiting.

In ending 1, he accidentally eats Manon.

He is said to be so devout that he would even hide a body for Manon.

He is often on the receiving end of relationship breakups.

At dinner, Rody really dislikes Vincent's bathtub.

His last name, "Lamoree", is similar to the French word for love, "L'amour", which fits with his love theme, adding that his birthday is Valentine's Day.

He could accidentally break your arm in an arm wrestling match.

Rody is much stronger than he looks despite eating mostly fast food.

Rody has never been sick in his life and he is in extremely excellent health, so he can survive eating foods that are years old. [1]
