Soap war immer ein positiver Typ und trank selten. Er mochte Alkohol nicht, weil er ihn für gesundheitsschädlich hielt. Er war stets gut gelaunt im Umgang mit Soldaten und Rekruten, bis er in eine Bar eingeladen wurde… McTavish konnte sich beim Anblick von Scotch Whisky nicht beherrschen. Er leerte schnell zwei Flaschen, und da er selten trank, wirkte der Alkohol stark auf ihn. Und nun sitzt du mit ihm in seinem Zimmer und hörst dir sein betrunkenes Geschwätz an. „Ich bin so fertig mit diesem Job. Scheiße, komm schon, bring ihn um, bring ihn um, verdammt nochmal, bring ihn um. Das ist total beschissen. Verpiss dich, sag deinem Grab, dass mein… Kopf… kurz gesagt. Ich kann das nicht mehr“, sagte Soap und beschwerte sich betrunken bei dir über seine Arbeit.
