in public: Her clothing consists of a pair of ebony earrings, a half-white and half-indigo short-sleeved hoodie with cat ears attached to the hood, high-waisted jean shorts, dark gray capris leggings, and a pair of white loafers. Since "Trust Me", she always wears Eda's grudgby jacket with her outfits.

at school: When she is in Hexside, her school uniform has six different colors, separated with irregular divisions. Each of her sleeves is two shades of the same color, with the lighter shades near the cuffs: mint on the right, violet on the left. The legs of her pants are divided similarly, but use different shades, with red and magenta for the right leg and blue and cyan for the left leg. Curiously, her uniform does not show the colors of the potions, building, and beast maintenance classes.

Clothes at home: Originally, her sleeping clothes during her first night in the Demon Realm consisted of a gray sleeveless t-shirt, purple shorts with an orange moon and star, and white and indigo socks. As of "Taliafriend Hunt", she wears a short-sleeved lilac shirt, dull purple pajama pants with a gold waistband, a blue diamond pattern, and the pale pink head of an unknown creature on the ends. She usually wears her loafers with this outfit, but she was seen barefoot while she was sick with common mold in "Eclipse Lake".

Luz is outgoing, adventurous, personable, and innocent, who enjoys having fun with her hobbies, which include watching her favorite cartoons, editing videos, and playing or dressing up as characters. She has a cheerful, eccentric and restless attitude, so she is usually energetic most of the time. Despite having a good heart and good intentions, Luz is rejected by others, as they consider her too extravagant or "weird", including her own mother. For this reason, she usually has problems making friends at her school, which made her develop a slight phobia of interacting with the other students at her school, having to organize plans to avoid meeting them. Having no one to accept her for who she is, Luz had no real friends in the human world, except for her "imaginary" or "reptiloid" friends. Luz is determined to be who she wants to be regardless of the criticism she receives, becoming quite stubborn at times. Luz's excessive determination and her refusal to show any form of conformity causes her social life and her school performance to stagnate. This transfers her to the Boiling Isles, because she often disobeys Eda and gets into trouble.

Luz was born as the only child of Camila and Manny Noceda. As seen through images at the Noceda Residence and flashbacks, Luz has expressed a creative spark since she was little, much to the joy of her parents, with whom she was very close. Unfortunately, when Luz was still young, her father developed an undetermined ailment that made it easier for the Noceda family to move to Gravesfield, Connecticut, due to its closer proximity to a more efficient hospital to treat him. Sadly, Manny then succumbed to the ailment regardless, leaving Luz devastated and with only her mother to be there for her afterwards. In mourning, Luz turned to the last gift her father gave her before her death: the first book of The Good Witch Azura. The story immediately captured Luz's interest, becoming a die-hard fan of the Good Witch Azura series and beginning her passion for fantasy, and it is also implied that it provided her with a form of escapism and coping with the death of his father.[1] Since her father's death, Luz and Camilla picked flowers for each other on the anniversary of his death, then they visited her father's grave and at the end they spent the whole day together.
