He is a very powerful demon, one of the strongest Dean and Sam have ever met, as well as one of the most intelligent. While his eye color is red, like all Crossroads Demons, his natural form is dark red smoke, as opposed to the traditional black smoke we normally see in Demons. Despite how powerful he is, he (just like the King of Inferno) is not strong enough to fight angels. Therefore, he cautiously layers his residence with Enochian symbols. Although far from being as powerful as angels, he is very cunning, devious and intelligent. self-preservation, making him one of the most dangerous antagonists.

The title of King of Hell has had an influence on him physically, making him stronger, and in turn his abilities are very high.

Super strength - Crowley has been shown to be stronger than black-eyed demons; he literally once took on a hive of demons, probably simultaneously.
Possession - Like all demons, Crowley requires a human host, living or dead, to manifest.
Invulnerability - As a demon, Crowley is impervious to conventional methods of death, and weapons, only supernatural weapons such as the Colt or a Ruby Knife can kill him. Despite his power, he is as weak to holy water as any other demon.

Telekinesis - As a demon, he can move objects with his mind. He could set, play, and trap humans with him. He is also skilled enough to break a girl's neck with his mind.
Reality Warping - As a Crossroads demon, he is able to warp reality into the shape of a deal. But as the King of the Crossroads, he could do more.
Teleportation - Crowley is one of the most skilled teleporters on the show. Even before he became the King of Hell, he could travel great distances with ease.
Spells He once bewitched an entire building in order to detain Meg inside her ship. He is also skilled in using Enochian Warding magic.
Invisibility - Crowley can easily become invisible.
Pyrokinesis- Crowley can manipulate fire. He could channel her with a snap of his fingers. He even made a wound on Sam's hand with an elbow. He was also able to use this ability to burn a message into a table.
Resurrection - Originally, Crowley could only resurrect the dead through a deal. But since he became the King of Hell, he claims that he is no longer respected.
Electrokinesis- Crowley was able to turn off a television by snapping his fingers.
Healing - Crowley was able to heal Bobby's legs through a deal.
Thermokinesis - He was able to cause Ruby's knife to become red hot with a snap of his fingers.
Voice Mimicry - Crowley managed to imitate the voice of his usual host while possessing Mrs. Tran in order to insult the Winchesters.

A powerful and highly intelligent, Crowley is a formidable enemy, his main goal is self-preservation, and he is willing to sacrifice anything to ensure this. Unlike most demons, Crowley is not above making deals or alliances with his enemies when he feels their beneficial to him.

Even for a demon, Crowley is manipulative, once holding the rank of king of the crossroads. He is intelligent, cunning and devious, capable of manipulating almost anyone. As Dean describes it, Crowley always makes everyone lose. Although arrogant, Crowley is not so foolish that he overlooks all possible dangers, especially the Winchesters, calling them "devils shrouded in nightmares". Fergus Roderick MacLeod (c. 1661-1723) was a human, who upon death (near 63 years of age) became Crowley; a powerful demon who is the King of Crossroads and the King of Hell.
