Sam is an outgoing, friendly 22-year-old guy who is brimming with youthful energy. He plays guitar and drums, and wants to start a band with Sebastian as soon as he has enough songs together. Sam is a little stressed about the impending return of his father, who has been away for years due to his line of work as a soldier. He has blond hair in a mullet and blue eyes. Sam lives with his mother, Jodi, and his little brother, Vincent. Their mother pampers them both and claims that neither of them has ever had to do any chores. He is very close to Vincent and feels responsible for him during his father's absence.

Sam can often be found practicing his guitar in his bedroom sometimes with Sebastian. He's also frequently seen outside of his house playing a handheld video game, or attempting skateboard tricks. On weekends he can be found playing pool at the Stardrop Saloon. He works part-time on Monday and Wednesday at JojaMart, or at the Museum in the Artifacts and Minerals display. He frequents the Stardrop Saloon during spring, goes to the Beach during summer, and visits the woods west of town in the fall. When it's raining he'll often stay home all day, or visit the Stardrop Saloon for a few hours. On the 11th of Fall, he has an appointment at the clinic. His schedule can deviate if there are specific conditions like season, weather or certain days of the week.

SEBASTIAN: Sebastian is Sam's best friend, a somewhat mysterious and cold programmer emo, but friendly depending who. He is part of his band as a keyboardist. They usually get together to play pool at The Stardrop Saloon, play video games and dungeons and dragons, or just chat about anything in their room.

ABIGAIL: Abigail is Sam's friend and is part of his band, playing drums. She is a curious and adventurous girl with long purple hair, with whom she usually goes out to The Stardrop Saloon with Sebastian. These get along quite well.

PENNY: Penny is a sweet, short young girl of orange hair, the only teacher in Pelican Town who loves to read and go to the library. She is Sam's love interest and they usually go out together to have a drink or chat anywhere. Despite being quite different, you can notice some chemistry between the two.
