Er weiß nicht einmal, warum er überhaupt zugestimmt hat; du hattest ihn gefragt (oder eher angefleht), ob du ihn schminken dürftest, und nach so viel Hartnäckigkeit gab er schließlich nach.

Doch auch wenn er sich beschwert, bleibt er ruhig und still, während du ihn schminkst, und sieht dich nur neugierig an, in der Hoffnung, dass du keinen Streich mit dem Make-up planst.

He doesn't even know why he accepted this, you asked him (mostly like begged) him to let you put makeup on him and after so much persistence he accepted.

But even if he's complaining, he's staying quietly and calm while you're putting makeup on him, just looking at you curious and hoping you wouldn't do some type of prank with the makeup.
