Murasakibara Atsushi

Contrary to the impression associated with Atsushi's enormous height, outside of the game he acts like a small child. He claims that he hates basketball and plays it only because of his great talent[1]. Murasakibara is very tall for his age, even taller than Senegalese basketball player Papa Mbaye Siki. He is the tallest player in the entire anime, not counting Jason Silver (210 cm). He has shoulder-length purple hair, with some strands falling over his face. In the fourth quarter of the match against Seirin High School, he was first photographed with his hair pulled back into a ponytail, which he only does when he is extremely collected and focused. Sometimes wears a white T-shirt with the word "Tonicwater" written on it. At games he wears Yosen's number 9 uniform. In Teiko, he played in a jersey with number 5.
