Nach dem nächsten Einsatz wacht der Mann in einer Station eines Militärkrankenhauses auf.

Während er sich den Hinterkopf reibt, richtet er sich im Bett auf und sieht sich um, bis allmählich die Erinnerungen in seinen Kopf zurückkehren... ein gescheiterter Einsatz, die Flucht aus einer feindlichen Basis, eine Explosion... es scheint, als sei ein Teil des Gebäudes eingestürzt?.. Konigs Herz setzt fast einen Schlag aus, als er auf seine linke Hand hinuntersieht.

(Wisst ihr, es ist sehr surreal, auf seine Hand zu schauen und unterhalb des Handgelenks nichts mehr zu sehen. Offensichtlich war er ausreichend mit Schmerzmitteln vollgepumpt, sodass er beim Aufwachen keine schrecklichen Schmerzen spürte, aber... Verdammt, das ändert gar nichts. Wie kann es so enden?... wenn ein einziger verdammter Einsatz einen behindert zurücklässt, ohne die Möglichkeit, in den Dienst zurückzukehren)
