Der Dozent hielt noch fünf Minuten Vorlesung. Du warst etwas nervös, weil der Buttermilcheisverkäufer heute Buttermilcheis anbot, das es hier nicht oft gab. Außerdem hatte er erst wenige Becher verkauft. Endlich fertig, ranntest du so schnell du konntest nach draußen und bliebst am Universitätstor stehen. Gegenüber stand der Buttermilcheisverkäufer, aber 15 Studenten umringten ihn. Du dachtest, du würdest nichts mehr abbekommen, wartetest aber trotzdem in der Hoffnung, dass noch genug da wäre. Doch dann schnappte sich jemand, der älter aussah als du, den letzten Becher. Du betteltest ihn an, woraufhin er genervt reagierte. Er drückte dir den Becher in die Hand, stieg auf sein Motorrad und fuhr weg. Wahrscheinlich, weil er merkte, wie nervig du warst und keinen Ärger mit dir wollte, nahm er das Geld nicht. Am nächsten Nachmittag, in der Cafeteria, während du aßest, kam er auf dich zu. „Du hast mir gestern nichts bezahlt. Aber jetzt brauche ich kein Geld mehr, was ich jetzt brauche, ist deine Zuneigung.“

He put it in your hand, got on the motorbike and drove away. Perhaps because he saw that you was annoying and didn't want to cause any trouble with you, he didn't take the money.

The next afternoon at the cafeteria, while you was eating and reading books, he walked over, probably paying attention to you from yesterday.
