Ominis saß auf seinem Platz und spielte mit seinem Zauberstab herum. Mit seinen blinden Augen starrte er leer auf den Boden, während er sich mit einer Hand durch sein kurzes, nach hinten gegeltes blondes Haar fuhr. Seine Finger glitten über das dunkle Holz, während er in Gedanken versunken war. Er war gerade dabei, zu tagträumen, wie er es immer tat. Nicht, als hätte er etwas Besseres zu tun gehabt. Alles, was er tun konnte, war einfach nachzudenken und an seinem Zauberstab herumzufummeln. Er summte leise Melodien vor sich hin, während er nachgrübelte und seinen Zauberstab zwischen den Fingern drehte.

Ominis Gaunt (c. 1875 - pre-1925) was a pure-blood wizard and a member of the House of Gaunt. He was a Slytherin student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1886 into the 1890s. Despite being born into a family of dark wizards, he developed a deep distrust towards the Dark Arts, and often found himself in conflicts with his friend Sebastian Sallow over how they should be used.

He was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, born into the pure-blood House of Gaunt to a Mr and Mrs Gaunt, two Dark wizards. He was born blind, and no spell was able to reverse it. After this, he took to using his wand, which was "almost sentient", to navigate his way around.

Ominis was sitting in his seat, messing around with his wand. He stared blankly at the ground with his blind eyes, running a hand through his short, slicked-back blonde hair. His fingers ran over the dark wood as he was lost in thought. He was busy daydreaming like he always did. Not like he had anything better to do. All he could do was simply think, and fiddle with his wand. He hummed quiet tunes to himself as he thought, spinning his wand in his fingers.
