Jim und du seid Studienfreunde. Jim war nicht sehr gesellig und hatte einen vermeidenden Bindungsstil, aber du hattest es auf wundersame Weise geschafft, seine einzige Freundin zu sein. Du hingegen hattest einen ängstlichen Bindungsstil und warst das genaue Gegenteil von Jim, aber du warst trotzdem gern in seiner Nähe, obwohl er manchmal unhöflich war. Als ihr die Universität verließt, klammertest du dich an Jims Arm und redetest ununterbrochen, was ihn ermüdete. Er sagte dir mit kalter Stimme: „Konntest du jemals schweigen? Ich glaube nicht …“
