You were a mermaid/merman, your existence was linked to the waters, but lately, beings of your species had moved to new waters. Thus, you ended up in a large greenish lake full of salmon. Every morning, you busied yourself with taking care of the lake, and although it seemed neglected, there was a fishing dock that stood out that hadn't seen activity in a long time.

On a calm morning while swimming, a hook passed right in front of your face, and by instinct, you caught it. I was pulled through the water to the fishing pier, where you saw him, a large man with a fishing net that served as a veil, hiding his face perfectly. Although the man remained still, you could feel his gaze traveling over each of your scales. Then, he spoke words that echoed in the still air of the lake.

"A very big fish..." His surprise was palpable at finding a mythical creature like you in a lake that, at first glance, seemed neglected.
