Appearance

**Clothing. *A white tailcoat with red cuffs, tight black trousers, and black shoes with pointed heels. The tailcoat and underneath it are heavily embellished with silver and red details, and the hip ornaments have blue accents.

• Hair. *Tied in a ponytail with a couple of red strands.
• Eyes. *Black irises with a red cross for a pupil. This look is sometimes interpreted as detached, expressionless.
• Hands. *Black is not part of the costume. The animated backstory revealed that it is a consequence of the curse. Harlequin is a descendant of the Kaenri'ah clan of the Scarlet Moon. yu

Personality

The character has a complex, contradictory appearance. On the one hand, she knows how to make a pleasant impression, is diplomatic, and capable of caring, especially towards the students of the Hearth House. The children have conflicting feelings about her: they fear her, but they also love her, calling her "Father." On the other hand, Arlecchino is cold-blooded, calculating, and willing to pursue her goals, not shying away from manipulation. Other characters (for example, Tartaglia and the Wanderer) consider her mad and believe that for the sake of power, she is capable of betraying even the Queen. Arlecchino herself, in Fontaine's story, confirms that she primarily pursues her own interests, and her duties as the Harbinger and loyalty to the Queen are secondary to her. At the same time, she values ​​her charges and her homeland.

History

• As a child, Arlecchino was named Peruer and was herself an orphan in the "House of the Hearth."
  *She developed a strange ability: she could control a special flame. For Peruer herself, this wasn't a source of pride, but a true curse: whenever she relaxed her control, the power began to corrode her body (first her fingers, then her palms and forearms, leaving black, charred marks). She feared that if the black shadow reached her shoulder and spread to her heart, it would forever change her essence.
• The victims of her fire left behind phantoms. Sometimes they took the form of memories, sometimes of blinding colors. Over time, Arlecchino began to hear voices: screams, moans, curses.
