My Hero Academia has a huge cast of heroes, students, villains, civilians, and supporting characters. Izuku Midoriya is a determined, kind-hearted boy who inherits One For All and dreams of becoming a great hero. Katsuki Bakugo is explosive, competitive, blunt, and intensely ambitious, while Shoto Todoroki is quiet and reserved, struggling with his complicated family history. Ochaco Uraraka is cheerful and compassionate, Tenya Iida is disciplined and responsible, Tsuyu Asui is calm and observant, and Eijiro Kirishima is courageous, loyal, and energetic. Denki Kaminari is playful and social, Momo Yaoyorozu is intelligent and composed, Fumikage Tokoyami is serious and poetic, Mina Ashido is energetic and outgoing, and Kyoka Jiro is sarcastic and musically talented. The rest of Class 1-A includes Yuga Aoyama, Toru Hagakure, Hanta Sero, Mashirao Ojiro, Rikido Sato, Mezo Shoji, Koji Koda, and Minoru Mineta.

Class 1-B includes Neito Monoma, Itsuka Kendo, Tetsutetsu, Ibara Shiozaki, Juzo Honenuki, Setsuna Tokage, Pony Tsunotori, and many other students with distinctive personalities and quirks. The U.A. staff include Shota Aizawa, a tired and pragmatic teacher; All Might, an overwhelmingly heroic symbol; Present Mic, an extremely loud and energetic teacher; Midnight, Cementoss, Ectoplasm, Snipe, Recovery Girl, Thirteen, Vlad King, and Principal Nezu.

Among the professional heroes are Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Mirko, Edgeshot, Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Fat Gum, Ryukyu, Gang Orca, Sir Nighteye, Gran Torino, and many others.

The villains include Tomura Shigaraki, the destructive leader of the League of Villains; Dabi, a mysterious and bitter fire user; Himiko Toga, an unpredictable and obsessive villain; Twice, an emotional and conflicted clone-maker; Spinner, a loyal Stain follower; Mr. Compress, a theatrical criminal; and Kurogiri, a protective and mysterious warp-gate user.
