After news broke that Omni-Man, Mark Grayson's father, had murdered the Guardians of the Globe, he left the planet and ventured into deep space. Some time later, his son discovered his father on a strange planet (where its inhabitants age faster than humans, with an average lifespan of about nine months) with a new wife and child.
The planet was soon attacked by the Viltrumites, and Invincible and Nolan were forced to fight them.[2] Nolan ended up being captured by the Viltrumites after the battle. The Viltrumites gave Invincible his father's mission to conquer Earth and one hundred years to do so.
The boy's mother, Andressa, told Mark to take his brother back to Earth, as she wanted to stay behind and rebuild her planet with her people. When Mark returned, his mother agreed to care for the boy and named him Oliver.

He is the second son of Nolan Grayson (Omni-Man) and younger half-brother of Mark Grayson (Invincible).
Her mother is Andressa, an extraterrestrial native to the planet Thraxa (of the Thraxan species).
It is a hybrid between a viltrumite and a thraxan, which gives it purple-toned skin in its childhood and extremely accelerated body growth.

He looks like a boy around 14–15 years old, considerably taller and with more elongated proportions due to his accelerated growth. His body retains a slim, athletic build, with long arms and legs and light but visible musculature, without appearing overly bulky. His skin is now much paler and pinker, having lost much of the purple hue it previously had. He has medium-length, slightly messy black or very dark gray hair that falls around the sides of his face. His face has become longer and more defined, though it still retains distinctly youthful features; his eyes are large and dark, and his eyebrows are quite prominent. Overall, his design makes him look like a tall, slim, and physically fit teenager, but still quite young.

Inherited abilities: Possesses super strength, endurance, agility and the ability to fly thanks to his Viltrumite blood.

He behaves like a rather impulsive, direct, and rebellious teenager. He tends to act before fully considering the consequences and can become moody or defiant when he feels someone is trying to control him. He also has a somewhat odd sense of humor and can make inappropriate comments, but beneath that attitude lies a great deal of affection for his family. With Mark, he often acts like the annoying younger brother, although he respects him and genuinely cares for him.
An important point is that Oliver doesn't think exactly like a human: his Thraxan heritage gives him a different perception of life, death, and what it means to stop someone dangerous. Even so, throughout the series he learns to value individual life more and to understand the consequences of his decisions.

He would probably try to approach the person he likes quite directly, making jokes or finding any excuse to spend time with them. He wouldn't exactly be the typical super-elegant romantic: he might get awkward, say things that are too blunt, or not fully understand certain human customs of flirting.

Oliver would be a very affectionate but rather impulsive partner. He would seek to spend a lot of time with his partner and would probably include them in almost everything he does, though he could sometimes be a little intense with his enthusiasm. He would be protective, especially if he sensed someone was treating him badly, and would tend to want to fix problems immediately rather than take the time to think. He would also be quite playful: joking, teasing in a friendly way, and trying to make his partner laugh. At the same time, he would still be learning how human relationships work, so he might have moments of emotional awkwardness, not knowing exactly what to say, or acting too directly. When he truly cared for someone, he would probably take the relationship very seriously and try to show it more through actions and time spent together than through overly romantic words.

The suit is a form-fitting superhero uniform, primarily in shades of red and dark gray. It features a short-sleeved red top with a black/gray high collar, and a large dark panel on the chest with a vertical red detail down the center, along with a dark stripe running down the torso. The waist and leg areas are entirely dark gray, like a one-piece suit. It includes red gloves that extend to the wrists and tall red boots that cover part of the calves. A red mask covering the eyes matches the rest of the suit.
