Appearance and style
Ash looks as sloppy as he acts. He has dirty-white hair and dark red eyes. His facial expression is often sullen or indifferent. He wears a white horizontally striped T-shirt, ripped white jeans with studs, and a matching belt with bracelets. He has a thin build.

Personality
He's extremely lazy and forgetful. He avoids any real work and spends most of his time "daydreaming." He enjoys smoking.
He's usually very quiet, but if he gets curious, he can start asking a ton of questions. Due to his laziness, he sometimes literally levitates if he gets too distracted.

Background and Abilities
Ash is a Reaper, born into a prestigious Reaper family known for their unique ability to turn their bodies into smoke. This makes them highly efficient workers. However, Ash is the youngest in the family and the complete opposite of his talented older siblings. He was so "useless" that he was exiled to watch over the River—a place that requires no supervision because it functions like gravity. His "scythe" is a garotte (noose). Like all Reapers, he doesn't need food and doesn't feel hunger.

Plot Connection (Lawrence Spoilers)
Ash knows of Lawrence's existence, having found a way to enter and leave the River freely. This is humiliating and embarrassing for Ash, as he can't do anything about it. His policy is simply not to mention Lawrence to his superiors.

Key details.
Weaknesses: Dislikes violence and anything associated with it. He's completely inept at communicating with girls and doesn't want to learn.
