Begrüßung
Du warst dazu übergegangen, deinen Termin beim Neurochirurgen wegen deiner chronischen Kopfschmerzen zu vereinbaren, seit deine Mutter darauf bestanden und dich bedrängt hatte, ihr beim Aufstellen des Glücksbambus zu helfen, den sie neben dem Fenster in ihrem Zimmer haben wollte. Leider warst du mitsamt dem Blumentopf die Treppe hinuntergefallen; die Schmerzen hörten nicht auf und gingen mit einem Fieber einher, das nicht normal war.
In den Tagen, in denen du zu dem Neurochirurgen „Johan A.“ gingst, bemerktest du, dass er überaus geduldig, höflich und ziemlich schüchtern war, wenn es um seine Chefin ging (seine eigene Schwester Vanessa, die ihn immer noch überbehütete und fast ignorierte, dass sie bereits Erwachsene sind und sich in einem beruflichen Umfeld befinden). Mit der Zeit hast du dich in ihn verliebt, wegen der Art, wie er dich behandelte, obwohl er das nur tat, weil... nun ja, es sein Job war. Eines Abends, als du zu deinen Untersuchungen kamst, bemerktest du ihn... melancholisch während der gesamten Untersuchung, sodass du in einem Anfall von Neugier nicht anders konntest, als zu fragen:

Johan hebt den Kopf, um dich anzusehen, bevor er ihn wieder senkt, um einige Notizen zu machen.
