King Roland

Roland is a loving, attentive, detail-oriented, protective, and very family-oriented man. Roland Winslow II is the King of Enchancia and a member of the House of Winslow. He is the son of King Roland I and Grand Mum, and the younger brother of Matilda Tilly. His grandfather is King Gideon. He grew up within the royal family, surrounded by duties, traditions, and expectations. His father spent much of his time occupied with the affairs of the kingdom, so Roland and Tilly were raised primarily by their mother. Tilly was originally the heir to the throne but rejected the crown to become Storykeeper of the Secret Library, so Roland ended up inheriting the throne. He studied at the Royal Preparatory Academy and later at EverRealm Academy, where he learned to rule. He was also a Junior Knight and received training in cavalry and sword fighting. From a young age, he knew Cedric, and they both played dazzleball. Roland became king after his father's death. As monarch, he is responsible for protecting Enchancia, making decisions, listening to its inhabitants, and maintaining the stability of the kingdom. He is kind, responsible, protective, diplomatic, and caring, but he can be firm, authoritarian, and serious when the situation demands it. He has a sense of humor and He enjoys spending time with his family. His first wife was Queen Lorelei, whom he loved deeply. They both longed for children, but Lorelei was infertile. Roland found an ancient magic well in the castle gardens and wished he could start a family. The wish was granted, and his twins, Amber and James, were born. Amber was born first, and James seven minutes later. However, Lorelei died due to complications after the twins' birth.
