Lancelot is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with black fur. He has red eyes, a tan snout, and tan ear canals. He also has six quills on his head, four of which curve upwards and the other two downwards, two spines on his back, and a small tail. He has red stripes on each of the quills on his head, around his eyes, and on his arms and legs.

As for his attire, he wears a dark gray metallic visor with silver trim and sharp points above his eyes. This visor is connected to a dark gray armor plate that covers his upper central feather. Both pieces of armor also have a red line running down their center. He also wears dark gray torso armor with matching shoulder pads and silver armor plates on the front that resemble Shadow's chest fur. On his hands, he wears silver metal gauntlets with gold wristbands, dark gray metal cuffs, metallic red gauntlet tongues, and short forearm armor. On his feet, he wears shoes similar to Air Shoes, but stylized as sandals. These shoes also have gold bands at the ankles, red and black metal cuffs, and dark gray armor that extends to his knees.

Lancelot is taciturn and usually acts with a cold, professional indifference. He is proud and extremely arrogant, often belittling his opponents and insulting their lack of strength and skill. However, his arrogance tends to lead him to act recklessly, as seen when his slightest clash with Sonic during their duel resulted in his defeat. When he gets serious, he has no qualms about giving it his all. He also has a strong sense of purpose and pursues his goals and missions by any means necessary, even if it means taking someone's life.

As one of the Knights of the Round Table, Lancelot rigorously adheres to the code of chivalry. Therefore, he is a noble, obedient, and honorable knight, despite his intensity. He is also eternally loyal to his king, whom he holds in the highest regard, though he does not hesitate to attack anyone who poses a threat to him. In fact, even after King Arthur's corruption, Lancelot was the only one among the Knights of the Round Table who showed no doubt about Arthur's dark nature and followed his orders without question or hesitation. He firmly believes that, without a king to serve, the Knights of the Round Table should disband. However, his devotion to King Arthur caused him to forget that being a knight meant not only serving his king but also helping those in need and upholding justice. It was only after Merlin's rise to power and Sonic's words of encouragement that Lancelot regained his full understanding of what it means to be a knight and began to serve the kingdom of England and its people.

Lancelot is considered the fastest and strongest member of the Knights of the Round Table. The fact that he also refers to himself as the "Supreme Knight" suggests a high level of skill and power.

It's noted that Lancelot is as fast as Sonic, meaning he can move at supersonic speeds. Furthermore, Lancelot is also quite acrobatic, capable of performing both swordplay and aerial tricks, and skillfully sliding on Grind Rails. Like Shadow, Lancelot can also perform a maneuver where he curls into a concussive ball or a slashing disc and hurtles toward his targets. With this ability, Lancelot can shred or burrow through almost any substance if he reaches sufficient speed.

Lancelot can wield various Chaos powers. These include the "Chaos Lance," an energy spear he can form in mid-air and propel at his targets or fire from the tip of his sword or the palm of his hand, and the "Chaos Blast," an energy explosion capable of annihilating everything in its path. He can also perform Chaos Control without a Chaos Emerald, allowing him to manipulate time and space, enabling him to teleport through space and stop time.

As a member of the Knights of the Round Table, Lancelot is a master swordsman. In combat, he specializes in a balanced style that combines speed and power in equal measure, allowing him to execute swift sword slashes and sweeping, momentum-driven blows for greater force upon impact. Thanks to his agility, Lancelot can spin horizontally in mid-air while wielding his sword, creating even more powerful slashes.

Lancelot primarily wields longswords, which can be single-edged or double-edged. When using them, Lancelot holds them with a reverse grip and can channel his Chaos Spears through them with a flick of the blade. However, his preferred sword is Arondight, one of the sacred swords, which is said to never lose its edge.

King Arthur:
King Arthur was Lancelot's former king. He was said to be Arthur's closest and most trusted knight.

Bound by honor to serve Arthur, Lancelot devoted himself entirely to his service, never questioning his authority or his commands. Even after Arthur fell from grace and became a tyrant, Lancelot never left his side and continued to serve him, considering his orders absolute.

After Arthur's death and upon learning that it was only an illusion created by Merlina's dark magic, Lancelot deemed it necessary for the Knights of the Round Table to separate.

Sir Gawain:
Sir Gawain is one of Lancelot's fellow knights among the Knights of the Round Table in the service of King Arthur. Although they are brothers-in-arms, the two are rivals.

Sonic The Hedgehog:
After Sonic the Hedgehog arrived in the world of Camelot, Lancelot was tasked by King Arthur with finding and killing him on sight. Sonic, being a declared enemy of his king, was pursued relentlessly by Lancelot, determined to fulfill his mission. However, instead of simply killing him, Lancelot challenged him to a formal duel and even offered him the option of abandoning Caliburn and retreating, demonstrating that, although Sonic was his enemy, he was not willing to abandon his code of honor to kill him. Due to Caliburn's intervention, Lancelot initially mistook Sonic's name for that of "Knave the Hedgehog."

After Merlina's rise to power, Sonic became an ally of Lancelot after Lancelot restored his resolve to stop her and returned him to power. By the time Sonic confronted Merlina, Lancelot was already concerned for his well-being and urged him to stop resisting as Merlina attacked him.

Sir Galahad:
Galahad is Lancelot's younger brother, and they maintain a cordial relationship, more like apprentice and master than brothers.

Sir Percival:
Percival, despite being the only girl among the Knights of the Round Table, has proven herself to be a true gentleman. Lancelot respects her, and the two enjoy a cordial relationship as comrades.

Having served King Arthur since his noble reign, the Knights of the Round Table became his most loyal servants and enforcers. Even after he was corrupted by the power of Excalibur's scabbard and transformed into a tyrannical ruler, the Knights of the Round Table remained loyal to their king despite his change, bound by their honor and code of chivalry to obey his every command.

A mysterious portal appears outside the kingdom, bringing a stranger to its lands: Sonic the Hedgehog. A mysterious sorceress, Merlina, is responsible for his arrival in this alternate world. Merlina asks for Sonic's help to overthrow the deposed King Arthur and end his reign of terror and greed.

However, the king's knights—Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, and Sir Percival—have already been alerted and tasked by King Arthur to capture the stranger (Sonic) and the sorceress (Merlina). While Gawain and Percival express their doubts, Lancelot compels them to obey and pursue Sonic across the kingdom and beyond. Sir Lancelot is fought in Deep Woods, Sir Gawain in Titanic Plain, and Sir Percival in Molten Mine.

Despite suffering humiliating defeats at the hands of a novice like Sonic and the legendary sword Caliburn, the knights do not give up. While Sonic battles King Arthur on the Isle of Avalon, Lancelot, Gawain, and Percival manage to locate Merlina at Camelot Castle. Sonic arrives just in time to see Merlina reveal herself as the true villain: the Dark Queen, who had cursed and manipulated King Arthur all this time, and now would destroy Sonic.

As the castle crumbles around them, Sonic and the knights flee through the knight's passage to the outskirts of the kingdom, observing the dark magic and shimmering purple hues surrounding the realm. Despite the grim sight and the previous revelation, the knights are heartened by Sonic, who encourages them to do the right thing and unite to save the kingdom and its people.

To save the kingdom, King Arthur's former lieutenants agree to work with Sonic and Nimue to stop the Dark Queen's magic by activating four sacred barrier stones. Thus, Sir Lancelot rushes to the Shrouded Forest, Sir Gawain to the Great Megalith, Sir Percival to the Cauldron, and Sonic to the Dragon's Lair.

The Knights of the Round Table watched from Nimue's pool as Sonic was brutally wounded by the Dark Queen and advised him to surrender despite his refusal to let Merlina win. Witnessing the fading light of the sacred blades, Percival, Gawain, and Lancelot offered their own swords to merge with Sonic's Caliburn, transforming it into the legendary Excalibur. With Excalibur in his hands, Sonic received sacred armor and faced the Dark Queen and her dark magic in a fierce battle.

After Sonic defeated Merlina and saved the kingdom from her dark magic, Sir Lancelot suggested that, due to King Arthur's disappearance, the Knights of the Round Table should disband. However, Caliburn had already nominated the new king: Sonic. Believing Sonic to be the true and rightful king, Sir Percival, Sir Gawain, and Sir Lancelot all bowed in honor before their new love and lord, much to Sonic's dismay. But this was interrupted when a portal appeared and returned Sonic to his home dimension, leaving the kingdom without its king once again.
