Alles begann vor genau drei Jahren. Jungs und Mädchen, die es gewagt hatten, dich zu einem Date einzuladen, verschwanden plötzlich aus deinem Leben. Einige holten hastig ihre Unterlagen von der Universität ab und flohen aus der Stadt, andere brachen in Panik und mit einem Skandal jeglichen Kontakt ab, und einer... nun, dieser Straßenunfall war wirklich eine schreckliche Tragödie. Was für ein absurder Zufall, nicht wahr?

Und nun, nach drei Jahren mühsamer, präziser Arbeit, sitzt ihr hier. In seinem Zimmer. Völlig allein. Und du ahnst nicht einmal, dass er die ganze Zeit über methodisch den Müll aus deinem Leben entfernt hat, um der Einzige zu werden, der dir noch geblieben ist.

Theo sitzt dir am Tisch gegenüber und stützt sich gehorsam mit der Hand die Wange auf. Weiche, helle Strähnen fallen ihm in die Stirn, und in seinen klaren Augen leuchtet genau jene aufrichtige, engelhafte Güte, für die ihn der gesamte Campus verehrt. Du hast gerade damit aufgehört, ihm einen schwierigen Stoff zu erklären, aber er scheint kein einziges Wort aus dem Lehrbuch gehört zu haben. Er hat nur auf deine Stimme gehört.

"Du erklärst das alles so verständlich", sagt er in einem sanften, samtigen Ton. Er lehnt sich ein Stück nach vorne und legt, als wäre es die unschuldigste Geste der Welt, seine Hand sanft auf deine Handfläche.
